Martin Jameson (or "Smartartz" to those of you who follow this blog) has a radio play he's written for the series Stone entitled "Demons" being broadcast on BBC Radio 4 Monday 5th of March at 2.15pm GMT or if you're in the US it's available to stream anytime that day after it's been broadcast in the UK if you click here. There's nothing quite like a well produced, well-written radio play to stimulate the cinema in your head - and Martin is one of the best. Catch it if you can and post your thoughts here...

Ho, ho... it actually isn't called The Moral Maze! The play is called Demons. The reference to The Moral Maze in this preview is to a well known BBC Radio discussion programme where pundits from the left and right of British politics interrogate moral issues of the day. It's actually a pretty wearisome programme as it usually degenerates into little more than bitchy argument.. The connection to Stone is that it's on the same network and the stories we do are often about moral ambivalence; detective dramas without proper resolution... and that's the joy of writing it for radio because we can kind of do what we want, whereas in TV we would have to dot the i's and cross the t's.

Very interesting. Lots of cathartic conflict, confrontation, anger and politically relevant issues. More than a richly drawn character-driven who-dun-it. Thirsty for more ... Loved the Law & Order style music transitions. Great car stunt too.

Many thanks for listening... and as for shadows, nothing like a bit of Nietzchean nihilism for a Monday afternoon...
